Serialization of history-related articles in "Butsuri" magazines and other publications and their publication in book form

The year 2027 marks the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Tokyo Mathematics Society (later the Tokyo Mathematico-Physical Society), the predecessor of our Society. That year also marks the 300th anniversary of Newton's death. The year 2026 also marks the 80th anniversary of the Society's separation from the Mathematical Society of Japan after World War II and its re-launch as the Physical Society of Japan. To commemorate these anniversaries, we are publishing a series of articles on the history of the society and physics education over the past 150 years in “Butsuri” and in "Physics Education in Universities" magazine. The articles are introduced below. To view the full text, please access J-Stage below (subscriber number and password are required for the articles from the most recent year, but earlier articles are available free of charge).
